The survivor __________Chapter 3
Mike came out of his car, it was hard explaining to his wife about going out but he really has to end things, he looked around him. No sign of anyone. Usually such meetings were held in confided places or club but he waited. Not too long, a car drove by and threw a sealed envelop at him, the word SCI was written on the envelop, he picked up the envelope ,entered his car and followed the car slowly wanting to meet whoever it is that is giving out assignments.... He just had to end it. Getting to the high way he becomes confused as two other cars exactly like the one that delivered the envelope to him was suddenly in front of him. What is this? He asked himself confusingly. Woah! Um, okay Mike let's relax and think. He said to himself and after doing his calculations he decided the car he had been following should be the one at the middle, he ignored the other two and followed the one at the middle. His suspicion proved right when the driver increased his speed, he also increased his. 20 minutes later and finally he caught up with the car and blocked the path of the car forcing the driver to stop, he got out of his car and was stunned when he saw a woman and two children already crying out of fear that he may be a kidnapper or a robber. He calmed them down and apologize, got into his car and packed by the road side Fuck!!! He thought as he slammed his door shut. "I really thought i had him"! he said hitting the steering out of frustration. This was supposed to be his best shot at finding out the boss and he messed it up. His phone started ringing, looking at the caller ID he immediately knew who it was , the number was a private line.
"Boy, you don't try the SCI! You of all people should know that" the voice he hated the most came on immediately he answered the call.
"Pull a stunt like this one more time and say good bye to your wife!" he gasped " I only wanted to talk to you in person sir" he wiped the sweat from his head.
" When its time you will know but right now focus on your task. That envelope contains the face of a reporter, he has a card reader labeled 4by/11h/1999. Get it at any cost after that you will receive your next move, the location of the man is also in that envelope that's all." Mike was about to hang up when he heard" And oh don't forget your wife must never know about this and as a bonus her father may have employed one of our agent as your maid." Mike couldn't believe his ears." What?! "
" How did that happen?" he shouted.
"Hahahaahahaha boy, I ask the question." And then a click sound signifying the call has been cut. Mike was speechless. Today is Friday, tomorrow is Saturday and he has to attend Vals wedding. I have just Sunday for this task, how do i explain to emeade? he thought to himself as he drove home.
"Honey come on we are going to be late for the wedding,or dont you want to attend the wedding of your best friend?" Mike questioned his wife who laid on the bed like she has paid all her dues. "Dear please go on without me i will come much later i dont feel too good". She covered her self more with the duvet.....mike sat on the bed with her and placed his hand on her fore head to feel her temperature, mike felt her forehead.... Gosh.
"Honey you're burning up."
"Yea,i don't feel too good,I'll come much later.... will you please help me bring out the dress i intend to wear?" "It's at the last end of the wardrobe". She sat up but touched her head painfully.
"Umm, are you sure?... I mean, Val and Meeynah will understand if we don't go you know right?". She grabbed the water placed next to her bed and take a sip, she can't help but be thankful once again that her father insisted she took up a maid. To think she wasn't going to listen.
" I would have been miserable"she murmured to herself.

"Forget I asked, you should relax while i get a doctor. You will prefer your family doctor right?? Your dad gave me his number few days back" He started scrolling down his phone when she grabbed it off his hands "Don't call any doctor i will be fine plus dad will eventually hear and he will become worried, I don't want that" She turn off the phone and threw it under her pillows.
"Listen Emeade your dad is never a worried person, have never seen him getting worked up, he's always so calm its kinda weird at times". Mike said thoughtfully.
"Now please hand the phone back, i need to call the doctor" he said stretching out his hand to take the phone. Emeade groaned rolling her eyes.
"Don't call my father weird and listen sweetie, let's make a deal. I take some pain reliever right now, then we go for the wedding and hand over our presents. I help out with a thing or two then we come back home and you can all whosoever u feel like calling. She opened the drawer close to the bed to fetch out some medicine.

He stood up to get her dress she mentioned earlier and got her a shoe to match with...not too high and not too short, just something fitting her tiring condition.

She asked from the bed she sat and sat up lifting her mouth up. "Ehn?! Morning what? With that your smelly mouth? Biko i no do" he teased and she stared at him pouting while he made mocking faces at her she started laughing at the faces his was making.
They were at the wedding receptionand Mike couldn't contain the anger dah was brewing at his wife stubbornness. Their agreement was that she was going to sit down but here she is.... giving out gifts! Will the earth divide if she just think of her health and sit her down? He mentally asked himself as his eyes followed her every move. When someone caught her from falling off apparently she's dizzy, he lost it. "That's it we are going home" he stood up and walked up to her without saying anything he dragged her to the car shoving her in and slamming the door.
"What is your problem?! emeade shouted at him. " What you did was embarasing,why would you drag me out like that?" she was upset but Mike ignored her. Making a call he placed his phone on his ears." Hello. This is Mr mike, I got your number from my father in-law, i need you to come to my house immediately" he said and hunged up.
Emeade was surprised, she was sure the doctor hasn't been in their house. "Mike you didn't answer me ooh" she was still mad at him. "You said you will sit down and not stressed yourself up, that was our agreement but you did the opposite when you know your health is not okay right now. If it wasn't for Mrs mercy you would have fell and hit your head at the pillar next to you" Mike was angry too. He just started the car and drove out of the parking lot.
"But we are leaving?! We can't leave oh. We didn't even tell the couple we'll be going. Mike be reasonable please." She touched his arm.
"Emeade you need to get checked by a doctor as soon as possible, all other stuff doesn't matter right now." He told her. "But we could have at least said good bye now" she argued on. Talking to her would be useless for now so he just ignored her and concentrated at the road.
The doctor was already waiting for them at home when they got back. Mike thanked him for coming early and pointed Emeade to him. Not more than 10min,he came out from examining her.
"We wont jump into any conclusions but i already drew her blood out for some test though all the symptoms points to pregnancy but i will suggest we wait for the test results." The doctor said. Emeade smiled for the first time since the doctor came Mike thanked the doctor once again and walked him out then came back to the room.
"Should i ask Lisa to make you some tea?" he asked looking at her slyly. She ignored him obviously still angry about the wedding. "My love I'm sorry, I was only worried about your health. " Mike kissed her. "Okay i forgive you. But something doesn't add up, how come you didn't even give the doctor our house address but he found his way here, also all you said is your name and your father in-law that doesn't explain how he would understand who you are right?" she questioned scratching her nose." And the maid dad got me i don't remember telling you her name but you figured it out. Okay... Lehz agree that maybe she told you herself but she doesn't behave like a maid, she speaks well and sounds very educated. "She looked at her husband waiting for an answer from him but he looked nervous and keeps scratching his head. "Mike! are you hiding something from me?"
